Jonathan is a founding member of Virtual Theatre Project who brings sheer magic to the world of design.

On April 5, Jonathan garnered a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for his outstanding digital imagery work on BELFAST BLUES. In fact, his work is so memorable that the LADCC created a new category for Digital Imagery in order to honor his talent. His design created the world of this play by adding a dimension to the show that put the audience in Geraldine Hughes' world, one of war torn Belfast in the mid-1980's.

In the same week, his invaluable contributions to both the world of theatre design and teaching were recognized by Wake Forest University, who granted Professor Christman tenure.

Jonathan updated his slides and designed the light plot for the London premiere of "Belfast Blues" at off-SOHO WEST THEATRE this spring. Then he did the same thing for a short run at the "Women Center Stage" festival in New York, and is his work is now back on stage in NYC at The Culture Project, currently producing Belfast Blues through April 24.

Jonathan also created the "wonderfully eerie New England graveyard" design for the premiere of "Brother Brian Sister Kathleen by Kim Terrell. "
