On April 9, 2005, Shawn made his Los Angeles debut orginating the role of Randall in the critically-acclaimed premiere of John Ahlin's Gray Area. Since then he has co-produced two VTP premieres, A Yankee Trader in 2006 and Confessions of a Catholic Child in 2007. He also directed the staged reading of Moonwalkers with fellow company member, Heidi Mages and well-known actor, James Denton.
Shawn has a long list of theatre credits from his years in Chicago, including Titus Andronicus, Taming of the Shrew, The Visit, As Is and The Homecoming.
Since coming to Los Angeles, Shawn recorded the voice of Aesop in Kim Terrell's Aesop Goes Modern with other members of The Virtual Theatre Project recording the other characters. As a member of VTP, Shawn is a key player in the company's yearly Pen is a Mighty Sword new play competition. A keen storyteller himself, he feels fortunate to be a part of a theatre company dedicated to identifying, developing and staging new work.
