After that she helped to develop and direct the first part of Belfast Blues, the story of performer, Geraldine Hughes' early years growing up in Belfast, Ireland.

In the summer of 2004, with students in Theatre 295 and her colleague Brook Davis, she developed a new play based on the culture of the student athlete. Working with 12 Wake Forest atheletes, Sharon, Brooke and the young men involved in the project developed a series of monologues and dialogues aimed at capturing the unique world of student atheletes. The project was such a great success that it was used the following year at freshman orientation.
