VTP welcomes Paul Stroili, another Chicago transplant to Los Angeles.

Paul was nominated for a 2006 Ovation Award as well as an LA Weekly Award for Best Solo Performance for Paul Stroili’s Straight Up with a Twist, which also received a Best Direction nod for director Bill Penton. In addition, the show was named one of the Top Ten Theater Events of the Year by The Orange County Register, and was recently filmed by Preston Development Partners and Hurricane Entertainment as a one-hour comedy special for television.

Television credits include Malcolm in the Middle, Seinfeld, Brother’s Keeper, Getting Personal, Newt and Bob: Unplugged, Chance of a Lifetime and The Untouchables, as well as the films Cold Justice and The Real Whatever. Recently, Paul voiced dozens of mobsters, victims and villains in the upcoming XBOX game, The Darkness slated for release in late 2007.

Paul has appeared in over 50 plays, including the ACE Award-winning literary parodies A Christmas Twist and Of Grapes and Nuts, as well as Under Milkwood, Oedipus; A Requiem, and the original Chicago production of Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding. Other writing credits include the plays Cheese Louise, My Dinner with Arlecchino and The Day the Arts Stood Still.

A winner of the Nationwide Comedy competition, Winston’s No-Bull Comedy Break, Paul lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Monica Kaiser.
