Kimberly Van Luin, a transplant to Los Angeles via Chicago, joined VTP in 2005. She is currently starring with fellow company member, Ian Vogt, in Joshua Faigen's new drama, "Gail Can See for Three Days", at Theatre Tribe Studio Theatre in North Hollywood.

Earlier this year, Kimberly accompanied other VTP members to Wake Forest University to participate in a ten-day residency with the Theatre Department.

Previously, Kimberly was the stage manager of our 2004 PEN winner, "Gray Area" which opened in Los Angeles April 9 of 2005 at 2100 Square Feet. She also took part in the Pen Reading Series in the spring of 2006.

While in Chicago she co-founded The Griffin Theatre Company, which just celebrated its 17th year of producing. At The Griffin she acted in many original plays, adaptations and some great standards. A few of her favorites are Riding the Dolphin which was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Citation, Henry and the Second Gunman written by Tom Leopold, (producer of Cheers and Caroline in the City) and most memorable, Independence which won a Joseph Jefferson Citation.

Over the 10 years that Kim headed up The Griffin, she was fortunate in that she was able to direct, to write and to produce over 40 shows. All in all she appeared in over 30 plays at The Griffin. Kimberly also worked with Chicago’s Children’s Theatre and The Drury Lane Theatre.

While in Los Angeles, she has appeared in Family Law and Final Justice. She is in the supporting cast of a short film Jumbo Girl where she had the pleasure of working with Janusz Kaminski. She is quite proud to be part of the Emmy Award winning Saving Worms. Theatre credits include Emma’s Child performed at The Odyssey Theatre, Blind With No Legs with the Zeitgeist Theatre Company and Chicago Confidential at The Eclectic Company.
