A playwriting seminar was conducted at Wake Forest as part of the week long collaboration between The Virtual Theatre Project, Wake Forest University and winning playwrights Laura Harrington and Kato McNickle.

Playwriting students had an opportunity to hear their work performed, then feedback was provided by the two guest playwrights, guest actors and fellow students.

The seminar was well received and will be expanded next year to allow time for students to respond to comments, rewrite then hear their rewrites.

The structure of the seminar supported the collective nature of theatre allowing students to gain insight into their work and how their words translated from the "page to the stage."
